About Us

Rooms are for living in, not for looking at.

Most home decor is photographed in rooms nobody lives in. Empty surfaces, morning light, not a cable or a coaster in sight. It looks wonderful and it tells you nothing about what the thing is like to own.

Luxorson started from the opposite question: what does this look like at seven in the evening, in a room where someone is actually sitting?

That question rules a lot of things out. It rules out lamps that only work as sculpture and go unused because the light is wrong. It rules out throws that photograph beautifully and pill after three washes. What's left is a small range: lighting, wall and objects, and textiles, chosen because they earn their place in a room that gets used.

What we care about

Light you'd actually sit under. Most of our lighting is cordless or battery, which means it goes where the light should be rather than where the socket is. Warm, low, and not asking for attention.

Texture over pattern. Rooms get busy on their own. Our textiles are plain and heavily textured, so they add weight without adding noise.

Honest scale. Every product page tells you the real dimensions and whether the piece reads bigger or smaller than the photo suggests. Getting this wrong is the most common reason decor goes back, and it's the easiest thing to be straight about.

How we work

We're a small operation. We don't hold a warehouse of stock we're desperate to shift, and we'd rather you kept one thing for ten years than four things for one season. If something isn't right when it arrives, tell us, 30 days, no argument.
